Friday, 13 January 2012 00:00

Draft 11 of the Non-Development Grading Standards are available for public review and comment by clicking here.  Draft 11 contains revisions based on public input received since publishing Draft 10 on 10/17/11, input received at the 10/12/11 APAC meeting, and multiple discussions held with the Agricultural Standards Working Group (AgSWG) following the APAC meeting.

As part of the public review process there will be a public meeting on Wednesday 2/15/12 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lower Plaza Auditorium at the Government Center.  The meeting is intended to provide a brief overview of the Non-Development Grading Standards, receive public input and answer questions, and explain the next steps in the rewrite of the Grading Ordinance.  All interested parties are invited.  Attendees are enouraged to submit their comments and questions to staff ahead of time so that we can be adequately prepared to provide a useful response.  The Government Center is located at 800 South Victoria Ave., Ventura, CA 93009 (click here for a map to the Government Center).

Following the public meeting staff is planning on presenting the draft Non-Development grading standards to APAC at their meeting on Wednesday April 11, 2012 (click here for more information on APAC meetings).  Staff will also be contacting representitives from the oil and gas industry for their review and comment on the Non-Development Standards.  After these reviews are completed staff will present the standards for review and comment to the Board of Supervisors at a date yet to be determined.  Additional information will be posted on this web site as it becomes available.
