The Non-Development Grading Standards were presented to APAC at their regular meeting on 4/11/12. The meeting was an opportunity for APAC and the public to review and comment on the proposed Non-Development Grading Standards. Following the presentation, public discussion, and Committee discussion the Committee took the following action:
- Commend all those involved in developing the Non-Development Grading Standards for their time and dedicated efforts into making a very sound document.
- Encourage the work in progress to refine Draft 12 of the Standards and to continue the coordination process and to bring the Standards back to APAC for comment if needed during the refinement process.
- Request Ventura County Public Works to bring this issue back to APAC at a future time with the final version of the ordinance that will be presented to the Board of Supervisors' for final approval.
As mentioned in item #2 above, staff will be refining the Standards based on input received from APAC and other stakeholders to produce Draft 12 of the Standards which will be posted on this web site for public review and comment. We will then schedule an update before the Board of Supervisors which will be noticed through an update on this web site and a newsletter to subscribers. This Board update will not be a final decision and the Board will not be taking any action on the grading ordinance. The purpose of the meeting will be to update the Board on our progress, answer questions, and to receive any comments or direction from Board members.
